A quick word on heat and airflow
We tuned these for high-intensity shortwave radiation. You want your PET preforms to hit that perfect softening point quickly, without scorching the plastic. But here’s a heads-up: if you crank up the wattage to shave seconds off your cycle time, your cooling fans have to work harder. Just double-check that your oven’s airflow can actually get the heat out. If it can’t, you might warp your lamp holders, and that’s a headache you don’t need.
Getting them installed right
The secret to a long life is a tight connection. We use standard connectors, but you’ve got to make sure they’re clean and seated firmly. A loose fit causes arc-over, which can fry your end-caps in a matter of days. Clean the contacts. Snap them in tight. Pair that with our reinforced quartz, and you can finally stop worrying about when the next lamp is going to pop.
