We found a better way. By swapping out standard heating elements for short-wave infrared (IR) bulbs, you stop messing around with the air and start hitting the food directly. It’s instant. How it actually works We build these bulbs to pack a massive amount of heat into a tiny space. We use a halogen-filled quartz envelope, which lets the filament run hotter and longer without just burning out on you. The result? The surface temperature of your food spikes almost immediately. It kills that bottleneck at the oven stage and lets you keep your rhythm during a rush. The nitty-gritty on setup You don’t need to call in an electrician or rewire your entire kitchen. Most of our replacements use R7s or SK15 connectors, so they just drop right in. We use a specific type of quartz glass that lets the heat fly straight through rather than trapping it inside the bulb. One heads-up, though: these things put out a lot of concentrated heat.
